The Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) and Future Needs invite teachers, youth workers and educators to a HEALINC Training Seminar on 6 October 2026 at the Home for Cooperation.

The seminar will explore practical approaches to helping young people navigate health-related information online safely and critically, with a focus on developing the knowledge and skills needed to recognise, evaluate and communicate health information.

Programme

Participants will explore:

  • An introduction to health literacy and its relevance to young people
  • Digital tools and practical skills for navigating health information online
  • Ways to integrate health literacy into educational activities
  • Approaches to developing social media campaigns on health-related topics

The programme will combine presentations with interactive sessions and group activities, allowing participants to explore and apply the approaches discussed. A Certificate of Attendance will be provided.

Speakers

The seminar will bring together speakers with complementary experience in health, education, digital communication and peace education:

Kyriaki Daskaloudi, Innovation Project Manager at Future Needs, has a background in Mathematics and experience across European projects in sustainability, health, technology and education. Through the Health-Lit project, she has worked with experts and educators to better understand and address health misinformation.

Eliz Arter, Ph.D. brings more than 11 years of experience in higher education, health sciences, research and civil society. Her interdisciplinary background includes Biochemistry, Nutrition, Food Safety and Health Sciences, combining scientific knowledge with practical approaches to evaluating evidence and communicating health information.

Doğa Avseven, Peace Education Project Officer at AHDR, develops educational resources and delivers training on anti-racism and peace education for educators and young people. Doğa also represents AHDR in DEM-ED, an international network focused on democracy and peace education.
