Dr Asliye Dağman is an Education Consultant at the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR), where she oversees the Teacher Training Programme and the annual Conference for Educators, and co-leads the Educational Ambassadors Network under the Imagine Peace Academy. Dr Dağman has over twenty years of experience in education in Cyprus and the UK, working with both communities on the island. As a Senior Non-Key Expert on the EU-funded project “Improving Teaching and Learning through Continuous Professional Development Mechanism”, she developed and piloted blended learning modules for primary and secondary teachers, designed student-centred and inclusive approaches drawing on creative activities and drama, and trained trainers to sustain the programme’s long-term impact. She previously held senior roles in higher education, serving as Director of the School of Foreign Languages and Head of the Department of English Language Teaching at the University of Kyrenia, where she led teams, curriculum development and quality assurance.
She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of East Anglia, funded by an Arts and Humanities Research Council Award, where she also taught as an Associate Tutor. She is also an experienced Turkish–English interpreter and translator.
