Announcement:As AHDR, we are happy to announce an exciting opportunity for lower and upper secondary school teachers across Cyprus! 

The AHDR is inviting teachers of Lower and Upper Secondary Schools and Technical/ Vocational Schools from across the divide in Cyprus to apply for an educational opportunity to Germany! This is a fully funded opportunity for a limited number of participants. The trip will take place between the 21st and 26th August 2023.

In the context of providing opportunities for contact and collaboration between teachers and students from the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot communities, the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) is organizing, over the course of the next year, two educational trips to Germany as follows:

The first trip will be engaging 10 teachers and 4 trainers and will take place between the 21st and 26th August 2023. The following year (in July 2024) the same teachers, based on their commitment and engagement with the AHDR, will travel to Germany again, this time accompanying 20 students.

Both visits will include visits to significant sites related to the history of conflict, reconciliation, participate in guided museum tours, workshops and presentations in order to develop their capacity and become ambassadors of the project upon return to Cyprus.

The activity is implemented by the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) in collaboration with German NGO Gesicht Zeigen! and is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Republic of Germany.
