We invite young and enthusiastic graphic designers to design a logo for our ‘Ivy series’. Deadline: 05 October 2020

We invite young and enthusiastic graphic designers to design a logo for our ‘Ivy series’.  Inspired by the ivy in our library, ‘Ivy Series’ by AHDR is comprised of talks, readings, quizzes, and walks, and aims to enhance curiosity, encourage life-long learning, and create new networks of readers, authors, and creatives. Ivy Series will be implemented within the scope of ‘Cooperation for Life’, a European Solidarity Corps volunteering project implemented by the AHDR. If you are a graphic designer and you wish to design the logo of the Ivy Series, we encourage you to send us your proposal and the selected one will be compensated with 150 euro.  Please send your designs no later than 05/10/2020 via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. The Graphic Designer will adhere to the vision of our organization and the event series. The Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) is a multi communal organization based in Cyprus. It aims to contribute to the advancement of historical understanding amongst the public and more specifically amongst children, youth, and educators by providing access to learning opportunities for individuals of every ability and every ethnic, religious, cultural, and social background, based on the concepts of respect for diversity and critical thinking. The AHDR’s activities include research and dissemination of research findings; development of policy recommendations; enrichment of library and archives; organization of teacher training seminars, discussions, conferences; publication of educational materials; organization of on-site visits and walks; development of outreach tools; establishment of synergies between individuals and organizations at a local, a European and an international level. Since its inception, the AHDR brought together educators and youth from across the divide, established the Home for Cooperation (H4C), has included peace education in its scope of work, has initiated several local peacebuilding actions, and has assisted local peace educators, activists, researchers, and academics in having access to numerous opportunities pertaining to the fields of history and peace education. Only in the last two years - through the ‘Imagine’ Project - the AHDR has trained over 5000 students and 900 teachers in peace education while inspiring a culture of peace and nonviolence.

The logo should be in CMYK (for print) and RGB (digital) formats and other formats.

The Graphic Designer will:

  • Mention and obtain copyrights, if needed and make sure no infringement occurs. In any other case, the AHDR maintains its legal rights to take legal action;
  • Receive comments and changes on the design by the AHDR Team that will have been selected up to 5 times;
  • Share graphic design elements with the AHDR (including color codes).

Copyrights of the logo will belong solely to the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR).
