Özge Özoğul is the Project Officer of the AHDR. She is from Nicosia, and holds a Ph.D. in Education (School, Language and Society) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She graduated from the University of Southampton, the United Kingdom during which she joined the Erasmus Programme and studied at the University of Salamanca, Spain. Özge received her M.A. degree from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, in Multilingualism with a specialization in Multilingual Education and Language Policy Planning. During her graduate school, she completed her placement at Tilburg University as a Research Assistant. Her research interests include Multilingual and Intercultural Education, Linguistic Diversity, and Identity. Since 2020, she is a Member of the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network (MWMN). Özge coordinates the Association’s educational and research programmes funded by the Active Citizens Fund. Through her position at the AHDR, she conducts research; writes proposals; develops action plans and budget for each project; ensures sustainability of project activities; and plays an active role in crafting and implementing educational interventions that promote dialogue, cooperation and trust both between and within communities in Cyprus.
